2023 has been a year of transition and growth for Newry. We worked with many new client organizations, and we have several exciting new offerings in development that we look forward to sharing with you next year. Our project work investigated innovation technology areas and emerging trends like data centers, high-performance computing, solar energy, nuclear power, AR/VR, ChatGPT and AI, and green energy storage. We also brought on several talented individuals to join our team.

Here’s a round-up of our top thought leadership from 2023:

Other Firm Activities

Newry’s Service Committee arranged for a few volunteer activities, including cleaning up litter at the Rocky River Marina in the Cleveland Metroparks.

We were also able to spend time at the Holden Arboretum in Kirtland, OH, to trim back plants, lay down mulch, and explore the beautiful scenery of their cultivated gardens, which stretch across 200 acres.

Newry’s Wellness Committee keeps us active with a quarterly Steps & Reps competition. The winning team gets to choose a charity to support, and this year we were able to make donations to:

Applewood Centers – Provides mental health services, social services, and education to children, adolescents, and families living in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties. They are dedicated to addressing a variety of behavioral, emotional, and learning problems, and they provide a continuum of care from outpatient counseling to residential treatment.

Youth Challenge – Allows children with physical disabilities and their teen volunteer partners to learn and grow through adaptive sports, recreation, art, and life-skills training.

Marsha P. Johnson Institute – Protects and defends the human rights of Black transgender people by organizing their community, advocating for their people, creating an intentional healing community, developing transformative leadership, and promoting their collective power.

Newry’s bar trivia team, Per My Last Email, took home ~$150 in season winnings, and our volleyball team, One-Hit Wonders, made it to the playoffs!

Looking ahead to the future, we hope to continue to deepen our relationships with our clients, both old and new, as well as our community and each other.

We’ll see you in 2024!
