Avik Banerjee has a strong technical background and has contributed to a variety of Newry’s opportunity identification and assessment efforts for advanced materials and specialty chemicals. He has helped to facilitate workshops on topics ranging from machine learning to pharmaceutical packaging, and contributed to developing a lucrative 5-year portfolio for an optical physics research group. Other work has included finding new markets for a client’s specialty ceramic material, and identifying and assessing potential acquisition targets for a Fortune 500 company.
Avik received a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, where he worked in cancer research for the Department of Biomedical Engineering and researched medical applications of polymers for the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering. He also worked for Philips Healthcare in quality control, testing systems and imaging technology to ensure compliance with FDA standards.
